Every year we encourage all cyclists to Ride for a Purpose and make a difference, and this year’s no different. Whether it’s for your health, a dear friend or loved one that has passed, an obstacle you have overcome or a charity that is close to your heart, riding for a purpose gives you a voice… and something to push you over the finish line. Entries for the Momentum 94.7 Cycle Challenge are open and with 94.7km’s of exquisite landscape to ride, it’s well worth the challenge.

As the Cycle Challenge heads into its 17th year, we thank you for participating in the 2012 edition of the Momentum 94.7 Cycle Challenge. This iconic festival of cycling has certainly established itself as one of the most celebrated sport events in the country, with a whopping 27 000 cyclists taking to the streets of Johannesburg on Cycle Challenge Sunday.

The successful Ride for a Purpose campaign will continue to be the underlying thread throughout this year's race. This campaign encourages you to attach a purpose to your race, which not only makes the ride more meaningful, but also provides a platform for you to create awareness around matters that are close to your heart. A staggering R6 779 941.50 was raised for charity this past year and for that, we are grateful.

The Waterfall Country Estate will once again be the host venue for the 8th consecutive year. With its magnificent backdrop of green belts, dams, fauna and flora, the Estate provides a picturesque environment for this anticipated event.
