Entries open online: Thursday, 11 March 2010
Entries close : Monday, 27 September 2010
Cut-off time: 6 hours after the last start group and at each water point.
Prize money : R275 000 plus
Prize-giving : 12h00 on the stage
Medals: All finishers receive a medal on completion of the route within the time limit.
Back-to-back medals for cyclists who complete both the Mountain Bike Challenge and Cycle Challenge.

Various community and service clubs provide manpower and support at the Cycle Challenge. These clubs donate/distribute their remunerations to charities of their choice.
Previously disadvantaged and disabled cyclists are given complimentary entry on application.
History of the race: Started by Midrand Country Cyclists (MCC) in 1997 with a field of 4 500, cyclists to become the biggest cycling race in Gauteng. In 2009 25 000 Cyclists took to the roads. We anticipate 26 000 Cyclists for 2010.
