| The Fortune Seven is the Momentum 94.7 Cycle Challenge out reach program that started in 2005. It all began with a gentleman called Fortune Monaheng who is one of the neighborhood security guards, in 2004 Fortune approached Tanya Harford the Race Director for help with training and knowledge about cycling. Tanya’s son Jamie Gemmell took Fortune under his wing and trained him, that year Fortune and Jamie participated in the Cycle Challenge together. After that Fortune never looked back. After seeing Fortunes enthusiasm for the event, Fortune Seven was launched.
The Fortune Seven consists of eight budding cyclists from Ivory Park and Tembisa. All these men use cycling as their mode of transport and often ride more than 70km a day.
