So you’re entering the Momentum 94.7 Cycle Challenge for the first time and you’re looking for some tips? Don't stress – we have all the answers you need!

You may enter online at www.cyclechallenge.co.za
There are two methods of payments available.
You may use your valid credit card to make payment OR you may EFT or bank deposit the payment into our bank account. If the latter is used, you will need to send us the proof of payment to 086 684 0158 or email it: cyclechallenge@highveld.co.za
Once payment is done, you will get an email notification informing you that you have been entered into the event.
You may pick up your race number at Race Number Collection at Sandton Convention Centre.

No, you do not have to qualify to take part in the race but we suggest that you race other races throughout the year. This will ensure that you are fit for Cycle Challenge Sunday or Mountain Bike Sunday.
If it is your first time cycling the event, you will be seeded into the ‘open seeded’ category.
All riders must be in position of a Race Tec timing chip, in order to have your time recorded.
You may purchase a timing chip when you are entering into the event.
NO CHIP, NO RESULT.
Any traditional bicycle or tandem bicycle, that is not motorised.
Recumbent bicycles are also allowed in certain categories.
Any conventional mountain bike, that is not motorised.

Contact your local bike shop for assistance in setting your bike up. If your bike is not set up correctly, you may experience long term discomfort, and even injury, so it is crucial that you are correctly positioned on your bike. All good bike shops will be able to assist in getting your set up correct.

Yes. Medical support from Netcare 911 and Netcare Hospital Group can be found at all ten Momentum water points, and at other points along the route, as well as at the start and finish areas.
